BOAT FROM GRUž – LAPAD – GRUž
If the sun has beaten you down or you have missed your bus you can try the traditional boat transport that operates from Gruž to Lapad and back only in summer, from 7.00 am to 12.30pm, at great prices. As soon as a few passengers appear, the small boat sails to the opposite side of the harbor.The boat leaves approximately every ten minutes. In Gruž the boat docks in front of the open – air market, and in Lapad in front of the Hotel Lapad.
Insider Tip: Find the sign that read “Taxi Gruž – Lapad – Gruž “ and the price are posted on the boat. Recommended.
BOAT TO THE ISLAND OF LOKRUM
Departs from the Old City Harbor every half hour for a 10min boat ride to the Island Of Lokrum during the season and docks in the little bay of Portoč. The boat does not operate in poor weather conditions, and tickets can be bought where the boat docks.
Insider Tip: We recommend while waiting for your boat transfer to the Island of Lokrum you could stroll on the pier and maybe have a cold beverage, as there are several restaurants available here.
BOAT TO THE ELAPHITI ISLANDS
The boat to the Elaphiti Islands (Koločep, Lopud and Šipan) departs from Gruž harbor. The time schedules are available at the Jadrolinija Office in Gruž located in close proximity to the landing place and at the Dubrovnik Tourist Board Information Offices. Boat tickets can be purchased at the Jadrolinija office. (www.jadrolinija.hr) Or you can choose from many operators that advertise near Lapad beach, which includes a meal and wine.

BOAT TO THE ISLAND OF MLJET
In addition to the ferry boat departing from Gruž Harbor to Sobra harbor -Island of Mljet (time schedules and tickets are available at the Jadrolinija office in Gruž ) You can reach the Island of Mljet on the hydrofoil that arrives in Polače harbor ( Mljet National Park). The Jadrolinija ferry operates from Sobra Harbour to Prapratno Harbor (Pelješac Peninsula) and seasonal to the Island of Korčula and to Split. (www.jadrolinija.hr)
